One of the most puzzling and infuriating things about Covid is, how such a huge majority of doctors have abdicated their oath and the power to treat their own patients as their training and knowledge would dictate.
Throughout the pandemic, if a person tested positive for Covid, they were told to just go home. ‘Stay home to see how sick you’re going to get.’ Many doctors and health care facilities would not see a Covid infected patient at all. There was no government approved protocol for treating Covid, so there was no reason for them to be seen.
Until.
Until they got sick enough to require some kind of medical intervention in order to have any hope. People had to be very very ill – ill enough that a visit to an emergency room was their only chance to have any hope of survival.
By that time, of course it was too late for a great many people. Due to the fact that Covid killed most people by attacking the lungs, it was no longer being able to breathe that sent people to the ER, where in many cases not much treatment was offered still.
Until.
Until the only choice was to put them on a ventilator, which we now know is often a death sentence. Some people do survive being on a vent with Covid, but the majority do not.
Patients savvy enough to be aware of treatment options are still meeting a brick wall when they request them. These treatments don’t follow the “protocols” and in order to get them, often patients or their families had to get a court order to gain access to them.
Doctors are now allowing treatment for their patients to be determined by the protocols from government agencies that are headed by doctors who never treat patients themselves. This is not right.
