
I’m also, at 68, what you might call age-ey, but that’s beside the point.

But, am I wrong? Are we all equally able, no matter what our age? Where do you draw the line?
Do you want a 90 year old piloting the airliner you’re flying in? Are you okay with an 85 year old brain surgeon? Should an 80 year old be responsible for running your country?
And for me, equally important, should an 80 year old who has never in his adult life held a real job be in charge of whether you have one?
The current government of the United States is on average, the oldest in history. The average age in the Senate is 65. 54 of the 100 Senators are over 65.
The average age of the House of Representatives is 57, which definitely better than the Senate but nearly 1/3 of the House is over 65.
It’s just crazy that our country is run by so many people who very likely are getting beyond their mental prime.
