One of the things you have to admire about Trump is his ability to chose great Press Secretaries.
Every one of them has had the ability to express the President’s thoughts in and reasonable, logical way.
Quite a contrast to some recent Secretaries chosen by Democratic Presidents who seemed to be constantly gob-smacked by facts and the audacity of those asking actual questions.
But I think Karoline Leavitt might be my favorite.
She hits it out of the park every day, and the more liberal members of the White House Press Corp, who try to spin the news too far, are likely to have their heads handed to them.
(not literally, of course, for those who can’t take a joke – cause that would be really messy)
A member of France’s Parliament, called for the U.S. to return the statue to France on Sunday, saying the U.S. no longer represents the values it championed that prompted France to give the statue.
When questioned about the likelihood of that actually happening, this was Leavitt’s answer:
“Absolutely not. And my advice to that unnamed, low-level French politician would be to remind them that it’s only because of the United States of America that the French are not speaking German right now, So, they should be very grateful to our country.”
Head handed, done and dusted. A two-fer actually.
Of ccourse those media outlets who are nothing more than Democratic Party operatives are freaking right about the level of ‘disrespect’ Leavitt exhibited.
Perhaps, but the guy in France wasn’t exactly respecting our country either now was he? Childish phrases like “they started it” and “the truth hurts” leap to mind – true, despite their place in the vernacular.
Then, when asked about the administration’s ignoring of the Obama-era judge who ruled that illegal alien gang members could not be deported to foreign prisons, she had this to say:
“If the Democrats want to argue in favor of turning a plane full of rapists, murderers, and gangsters back to the United States, that’s a fight we are more than happy to take.”
And the Democrats continue to puzzle over why Trump was reelected. 🤔
